BREWERY
OMan, you'd think that we'd have finally found a dead body here, but
Othe tank was empty. Damn! Who is Tony Stone?

RE: Who's Tony Stone

Tony Stone died in that tank. I know, I was there that night in I believe 1996. RIP Tony, he was a good man. If you see fit, please change the caption on the picture.

Tony died of a Heart Attack. He worked 3rd Shift, mostly in the Fermenting Department. The week he died he had complained of chest pains -- many suggested he go to the doctor. He was a person everyone liked and was a great loss.

Anyway, I enjoyed your pictures. It's surprising how fast the brewery deteriorated over the last 5 years.
I wish I was on your tour -- looked like a neat adventure! I never got the chance to go down to the caves (except look down the steps).

One neat thing we had at the brewery. It was called the "secret room". In it, there were the old movies of the original Hamm's Bear commercials and many old advertising stuff. When the brewery closed, one of the workers asked the Brewmaster if he could take some of the stuff. The Brewmaster told him "If you're going to take anything, you must take it all". So the brewery worker quickly loaded up his pick up and was off with probably thousands of dollars worth of Brewery Memorabilia.

Your site brought back lots of memories...

Thanks,
